03/16/2008 - Pastor Dave Sharpes - Confession is looking back honestly and admitting that we have not done everything we could have or should have as the people of God.  Confession is not trying harder, but by definition is “agreeing with God about our lives.”  That makes confession the first necessary step for moving into the future under His guidance.  It means that more than a New Year’s resolution (grounded in our own determination, drive, and discipline) we confess and ground our lives in agreeing with God that we are called to make a difference for the Kingdom of God in the East Valley.”
